I had my very first opportunity to attend a professional tennis event tonight, checking out the Rogers Cup men’s quarterfinals tonight at the Aviva Centre at York University.
It was very cool to see the best player in the world Novak Djokovic (a winner), and Canada’s own Milos Raonic (not a winner on this night at least) who definitely had the crowd behind him.
It’s a very impressive set up, lots of peripheral activities and things to check out, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The fact you can transport your drinks all over the grounds and into the stadium is a real bonus.
The stadium facility itself is also top-notch, with adequate space for concessions and merchandising. It’s not cheap by most standards, but it was a worthwhile sports entertainment experience on the whole that I would do again.
